Assistant Professor Recruitment Information Session
The Department of Media and Communications at LSE is holding an academic staff recruitment information session at the IAMCR 2017 conference.
Monday, 17 JULY 2017, 12:30-13:30, SALON ARSENAL, LEVEL II at the conference venue.
We welcome anyone interested in applying for an Assistant Professor post in our department. This is a Q&A session on what we look for in an application. This is an open session, so please come along if you think you might be interested in making a future application.
A new Assistant Professor post which will be advertised formally in mid-September 2017, for a start-date of 1 September 2018. This is an open-specialism post and we welcome applications from anywhere in the world by researchers with specialisms from anywhere within the interdisciplinary field of media, communications or cultural research. The Department is known for its distinctive interdisciplinary approach to the field of media and communications, primarily based in the social sciences, but also open to humanities perspectives. More information on the application process will be available when the post is advertised in mid-September.
A further Assistant Professor post, also open-specialism, has been approved for advertisement in September 2018 (start-date 1 September 2019).
Members of the Search Committee will be in attendance including Professor Nick Couldry, current Head of the Department of Media and Communications, Dr Seeta Gangadharan, and Professor Robin Mansell, and several other members of the department’s staff.
